Feedkeeper is a Chrome extension published by Parakeet Labs. It is built so that we hold as little of your data as possible. In practice, we hold none: Feedkeeper has no servers, no accounts and no analytics.
Who is responsible
Parakeet Labs, SASU with a share capital of 1,000 €, registered with the Lyon Trade and Companies Register under number 105 375 349, whose registered office is at 4 rue de la République, 69001 Lyon, France. You can reach us through parakeetlabs.fr.
What the extension stores on your device
- The filters you write, and whether each one is enabled.
- The API key you enter in the extension settings.
- A short-lived cache of classification results, cleared when Chrome closes.
Filters and your API key are saved with Chrome's extension storage. If you are signed into Chrome with sync enabled, Chrome may sync them across your devices under Google's own privacy terms. We never receive them.
What leaves your device
To decide whether a post matches your filters, Feedkeeper sends the text and author name of that post, together with your filters, to Jev, the language model run by Typesafe AI, using the API key you configured. Nothing else is sent: not your username, not your browsing history.
That request goes directly from your browser to Typesafe AI. Their handling of the request is governed by their privacy policy, not ours. Feedkeeper does not route, log or see this traffic.
What we collect
Nothing. We do not operate any backend for Feedkeeper, we do not use analytics or crash reporting in the extension, and we do not set cookies on this website.
Instagram and X
Feedkeeper reads the posts displayed on instagram.com and x.com in order to filter them. It does not interact with your account, does not post, follow, like or message on your behalf, and does not read private messages.
Your rights
Since we hold no personal data about you, there is nothing for us to export, correct or delete. To remove everything Feedkeeper stored locally, uninstall the extension from Chrome. If you believe we do process your data in some way, you can contact us and, if unsatisfied, lodge a complaint with the CNIL, the French data protection authority.
Changes
If this policy changes, the new version will be published on this page with an updated date.
